Plaster / Pool Finishes

Your pool’s interior finish (also known as plaster) is the final seal and protective coating for your concrete pool shell. It is made up of portland cement, aggregates, and other additives. Plaster comes in many colors and finishes, and is hand mixed and applied to your pool.

Water Color

There are many factors that affect your pool’s water color, and your plaster / interior finish color arguably has the biggest impact. For water that looks primarily blue, select a finish with white, blue or gray pigment. For water that appears green, look for green, tan, brown or black pigment. The darker your finish, the darker your pool water will be.

Other factors that affect your pool’s water color:

  • Size, shape, and depth of the pool

  • Time of day and angle of the sun

  • Weather and cloudiness

  • Shade and surrounding foliage

  • Water chemistry

Our “elevated” standard finishes

We currently install the Stonescapes Mini Pebbles line as our standard pool finish! For no additional charge, your Tiny Pool comes with either the Salt and Pepper or White colors. It’s a long-lasting surface that is more durable than the standard “old school” plaster that you may be accustomed to. Other builders will charge you more to upgrade to a pebble finish.
